#1, you have every right to protect your property from marauding humanz. They do not know how to clean up after themselves. Any self respecting critter knows enough to bury the garbage.
#2, you are sooooo leeeeetle, I can barely see you. I'm afraid that any beetle I might bring you would outweigh you at least 3 to 1. You do have inquiring eyes, though.
#3, rat critters in the kitchen are irresistable, particularly after seeing the movie Ratatoulle (sp). Do you have a good recipe for those squash?
